Competition to Develop World’s Next-Generation Multimedia Search Technology
Team NUS won the first prize of US$100,000 at the Grand Finals of The StarChallenge@Fusionopolis on 23 October 2008.
The other finalist teams were:
- SHRC from Peking University, China
- the Laboratoire d'Informatique de Grenoble, France
- NII-KAORI/IRISA, Japan
- University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA
The multimedia search engine contest was organized as part of the official opening of the Fusionopolis by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore.
